REFUND INFO AND EXPECTATIONS Ascend Hockey All-Star Teams Refund Policy & Program Expectations At Ascend Hockey, our All-Star programs are designed to provide a high-level, competitive experience focused on player development, commitment, and team culture. To ensure clarity and fairness for all families, please carefully review the following policies and expectations. --- Refund & Payment Policy** **All registrations, deposits, and payments are strictly non-refundable.** Due to the nature of All-Star team commitments, Ascend Hockey incurs significant upfront costs immediately upon registration, including but not limited to: • Tournament registrations • Ice time reservations • Coaching fees • Apparel and uniform orders • Administrative and operational costs Once a player registers, these costs are locked in and cannot be recovered if a participant withdraws. By completing registration, families acknowledge and agree that **no refunds will be issued for any reason**, including but not limited to: • Injury or illness • Schedule conflicts • Personal or family matters • Changes of mind • Player availability or performance • Team or tournament schedule adjustments **Non-refundable means non-refundable. Period.** --- Mini-Camp, Ice Availability & Weather Policy** In the event that a scheduled mini-camp (including any sessions held the day prior to a tournament) is impacted by circumstances outside of Ascend Hockey’s control, the following applies: • If ice time becomes unavailable • If weather conditions prevent travel or safe use of facilities • If weather or facility limitations prevent off-ice training from taking place No refunds will be issued under any of these circumstances.** Instead, Ascend Hockey will make a reasonable effort to **compensate for lost time**, which may include: • Rescheduled ice sessions • Additional training opportunities • Future program credits or make-up sessions (when feasible) The method and timing of compensation are at the sole discretion of Ascend Hockey and will depend on availability, scheduling, and logistical considerations. --- Tournament Division & Scheduling Policy** Ascend Hockey registers teams in tournaments based on the advertised age group and division. However, tournament organizers reserve the right to modify divisions due to enrollment numbers or competitive balance. In certain cases: • A division may not fill • Teams may be required to play up or be placed in a different division These decisions are made solely by the tournament organizers and are **outside of Ascend Hockey’s control**. No refunds, credits, or discounts will be issued due to division changes, schedule changes, or tournament restructuring. --- All-Star Team Expectations** Participation on an Ascend Hockey All-Star team comes with expectations of commitment, professionalism, and respect. Player Expectations** Players are expected to: • Arrive on time and prepared for all games, practices, and team activities • Display a strong work ethic and positive attitude • Respect coaches, teammates, opponents, and officials • Be coachable and open to feedback • Represent Ascend Hockey with class on and off the ice Players may be asked to play different positions as needed to support team success. --- Parent & Family Expectations** Parents and families are expected to: • Support all players on the team, not just their own child • Maintain respectful behavior toward coaches, players, officials, and other families • Allow coaches to coach — playing time, positions, and line combinations are coaching decisions • Communicate respectfully and appropriately with staff Unsportsmanlike or disruptive behavior may result in disciplinary action, including removal from the program without refund. --- Playing Time & Team Decisions** While Ascend Hockey values development and opportunity, **equal playing time is not guaranteed** at the All-Star level. Coaches make lineup and playing-time decisions based on: • Effort and attitude • Player readiness and performance • Game situations • Team needs These decisions are made in the best interest of the team and are not subject to negotiation. --- Acknowledgment & Agreement** By registering for an Ascend Hockey All-Star team, families acknowledge that they have read, understand, and agree to all policies and expectations outlined above.
